Long Start and Acceleration Stutter

Long Start and Acceleration Stutter
Hello All. I've been having an issue last week with my 2005 RX8 (auto 4 - 87K mi) where I start to accelerate and it feels like there is a shudder in the acceleration. If I floor the gas, the car drops down a gear and revs high as it should. Also, if I floor the gas while merging onto the highway the car accelerates fine. The acceleration shudder seems to only happen at lower speeds. I figured flooring the gas may clear the issue but I obviously have no clue what I'm doing
I'm also seeing an issue where the car takes about 5 seconds to start up. Specifically, it turns over and chugs a few times and then finally starts. The starting delays and the acceleration stutters seem like they started after I put 91 octane into the car vs. the usual 93 I've been putting in for 2 years.
I've had trouble a year ago with starting it on 2 different occasions where it was flooded and I used the RX8 instructions on getting it started again. This was over a year ago so I'm thinking the 91 octane (or crap gas) is the issue. Any ideas? Thanks Guys.

It was serviced when I purchased it at around 36K miles. I was thinking a tuneup may work wonders but was looking for some pro advice before I take it like a champ from a dealership.
If tuneup is the way to go then consider me there. Thanks Soldier.

I'm not trying to offend you, but you REALLY need to do more research about this car.

Also check your starter as 04,05 have weaker starters.
The updated one is stronger and starts up faster.
Check your TB and MAF, clean it if it's cover with oil.
Get a oil catch can to prevent getting oil on the TB and UIM.
