Locking A/T Issue

Ok so after getting my car to stop blogging at high rpms, now when i have been on the highway or even city drivin when i do a high rpm shift the AT light comes on and it no longer allows me to shift nor does it shift in a/t mode it will stay in the same gear which sucks because i got stuck in first on the high way had to pull over and restart car. Any ideas?
