Locked out!! Could key be inside??

I had a few to drink a couple nights ago and my friend had to come get me. When we went back the next day to get my car, my key was no where in sight. It's the keyless entry sensor key shaped like a card. I know when I shut the key in the trunk it'll beep at me a few times, then all I have to do is press the 'open' button as if I have the key on me to get it open... wouldn't it do the same with the car's interior?

But the car's locked.. is this a lost key problem or is there something else I can do until I find the key? Could it be locked inside? I left the roof open an inch with the slider cover closed. It's possible I could reach a stick into the unlock button...

Are you sure the unlock buttons will even work? Even my old 99 cougar disabled the lock/unlock buttons after a certain amount of time sitting somewhere. You may have to use a wire coat hanger and unlock it with the manual locks above the handles and not the power ones.

Yes, you could still use both the power and the manual locks. Bring a 10 mm socket wrench and be prepared to disconnect the positive terminal from the battery to just cancel Out the alarm until you find your keys.

Or, remove the fuse for the horn if you don't want to attract attention

Well that's interesting.. I'll have to stick something into the moonroof to at least try to get it electronically unlocked. Either way, I thought if the key was locked in it would just unlock when I pressed the lil button on the handle outside. But I guess if it's been there a while it may just lock itself. I'll try. I can't get under the hood until I get it unlocked so we'll see about the fuse. Thanks guys, I'll let you know what works and what doesn't. Hopefully the key will just grow legs and run to me. :P

I don't think it will lock itself if you tried ti press the unlock button from the inside. Even if it was armed with the key FOB it will only set off the horn and alarm. That's why I suggested to bring a 10 mm socket wrench to disconnect the positive terminal from the battery, otherwise, pull the horn fuse if you know where it's located. Hope you find your keys inside.
