Leaking Stainless Oil Line

After a lot of hassle, I found where my oil leak is coming from. I have aftermarket oil coolers and lines, the lines are braided steel. It seems to be leaking from behind the nut, not the threads. These lines are practically brand new, so I'm kind of at a loss as to what can be done, maybe the line itself is faulty? I've tried loosening and reseating, but the leak continues, even at idle.

Here's a video of the leak.

Appreciate any advice.

Are the lines centered in the fitting properly and did you properly torque the line at the fitting?

I'm not sure what you mean as far as being centered. I believe the torque is around 35 ft lbs, I've tried various levels of tightness without over doing it, but at the least, it always has a small leak.

No, these are from RX8 Performance, the lines say red horse performance on them.

Well, I kind of goofed up because I put PTFE tape on the fittings. Not supposed to do that on AN fittings apparently, woops.

After removing the tape and applying the right amount of torque (more torque than I really should have to), no leaks. Been fighting these god damn lines all night, but part of that was me just being a dumbass. Lesson learned.

OK, glad you figured it out.
I just bought a Mishimoto line.
I'm going to be sure not to use tape.🤔

I apologize profusely if my obscene language towards your sky-buddy has offended your delicate sensibilities. I will give myself ten lashes in self flagellation.

you don’t really expect me to get upset or try to reason with someone who can’t even install or fix a leak on a pre-made oil line kit; and becomes so frustrated about something so simple to the point he publicly writes curses in the name of the highest power that he also then claims doesn’t actually exist, do you? Where’s the sensibility in any of those things?

I’ll take delicates sensibilities as a sincere compliment and gifted blessing over receiving a complete lack of them instead, any day.

I did install the lines and fix the leak, though. I've replaced the engine, transmission, fuel system, cooling system, interior, shocks, battery relocation, and on and on. But these lines were a pain to get to seal; a quick search shows I was not the only one. She's looking good, finally.

Yes yes, your sky buddy loves you. Believe in whatever you want, it's no shock that older folks like yourself find religion late in life. Something to cope with the fact that you'll be worm food relatively soon. I personally find it shows a weak mind; can't bear to see your life come to an end, so start to believe in a fairy tale that promotes a second life. Don't worry, death is not painful, it's just like it was before you were born; to the nothingness you will return.

At the very least, you sound very sure about something you can never be that sure about. If you are wrong, well...

I've read plenty sir. Not interested in fairy tales and superstition. If you believe in it, good for you, not my business. Even what you just wrote is one of the reasons "Well, if you're wrong you'll be punished!!" Yeah no, I will not buy into an ideology of fear. That's not to say that there is no wisdom in the biblical teachings, there certainly is.

And Cajun if Team gets banned he'll just go cry to the mods, as has happened before. At least others that did get banned had some dignity about it. I would much rather get banned than have to treat one particular individual as a protected class, you poke me, I will poke back. This is an internet forum, not a penal colony. I didn't instigate this whole exchange.
