Leak Near Engine - Pictures Attached

While troubleshooting the source of transmission leak today, I found a leak near the engine. I can't figure out what is causing the leak. I have attached the pictures and can take better ones if needed. The oil drain plug is also shown for reference. Any help will be appreciated.

I looked up pictures of the OMP online & I think they resemble what I saw. I will see if I can take better pictures over the weekend. I don't have the CEL illuminated and haven't been losing much oil either. The OMP has fresh oil around it, but it does not drip. Its a pretty expensive part. I'm wondering if there's a way to check if its the pump or the seals. How long does it take to remove and what's the best way to access it (from top or bottom)?

If it is just leaking it is generally and easy fix, the o ring could be bad. If you remove the battery and intake it is pretty easy to get at but be patient. It also help to get at one of the bolts from underneath. 1/4" rachets, extensions, swivels, and sockets help as well.

If it is a worn or broken OMP line then that is a little more tricky to replace. But if you are not getting a CEL I doubt it is the OMP itself. If the OMP faults, you will get a CEL and it will put your car into limp mode (limited revs, etc.).

If you need help on how to remove it look at the DIY for installing the SOHN adapter. It outlines how to remove the OMP.

You can also reference the factory service manual here on how to remove the oil metering pump. Go to engine; lubrication; oil metering pump removal/installation:

Thanks! That was very helpful. I've overfilled oil a few times. Hopefully that didn't cause the leak. I also saw that the coolant hose goes to the engine near the OMP. I recently had the waterpump, thermostat & radiator reservoir replaced. I'll take it to that shop to make sure they didn't mess it up.

I cleaned the OMP and surrounding area with degreaser and water to get rid of all the oil. Then I drove the car for a few weeks and checked for any leaks. I haven't been able to find a single drop of oil anywhere in that region. Now I think the oil just somehow collected there from spills, etc. Can't really think of another reason
