is this just a sign of bad gas

I absolutely love my ocho and take care of it better than family, (don't tell the wife). I need your opinions on this:

this weekend, I went for a 270 mile drive because the kids like the zoo in another city. After 3 hours (210 miles) of normal driving (speed limit is 80), I stopped to get gas. To my dismay, this little town only had Phillips 66 gas @ 90 octane. So I put 30 bux in..(I ALWAYs PUT chevron, valero, or shell 91).

My 8 simply would not accelerate as it usually does. As I drove away from this little town, it would not accelerate normal, meaning a toyota yaris gunning it hard even beat me, and I was flooring it, it was embarrassing to say the least

The next morning, it was totally fine. I went back home (270 miles), (stopped at a chevron this time and got 91 gas at 210 miles) once I hit my hometown streets and got off the interstate, it did the same thing, once again, I could barely keep up with the subcompact 4 banger at the light next to me.

I did start mashing the pedal hard and I got the marbles in a can sound when this happened

THis is my daily driver and it accelerates totally fine on the commute even today she purrs, even when driving hard

NOTE: NEW CAT, NEW COILS, NEW WIRES, new air filter installed 1500 miles ago. compression test also 1500 miles ago showed my 8 fully fit......oil is clean clean and this car lacks no love.
I reset the computer last night (brake pedal method). Drives beautiful.

who can help because the dealership in my city will charge even if you glance in their direction and talking to them gets me in a nasty mood.

Were your spark plugs changed at the same time as your Ingnition coils and wires, where do you hear the "marbles-in-the-can"? Check for vacuum leaks

Plugs were changed. Funny thing is that new plugs were "accidentally" put in reverse (trail, lead) for a week. (whole other story). Then put in correct. That w 2000 miles ago, (4 months)
F@@k vacuum leaks....That is the beginning of the end in my book. Please tell me it's not that.
Vacuum leaks are like the twilight zone part of repairs in ANY car.

Marbles in a can sound is that weird throttle sound coming from directly behind the firewall
Hate that sound. A Buddy had a Mazda protege that made that sound every on any acceleration it was annoying.
