Jumpy / Jerky Steering before driving? [Video]

I warm up my car before work every day. By the time I get ready to head out I'm completely warmed up and ready to go. Occasionally I get this weird jerkiness in the steering when when I'm backing out of my parking space. It only happens when I turn the wheel to the right and smooths itself out after a couple miles of driving. No "check engine" or other type of lights come on when this is happening.

2004 AT stock.

Any ideas?

I get the same thing. But only when it's cold out. So Im thinking it just might be the weather. Don't know though....

Ya I noticed if I turn the wheel all the way in the jerky direction that it'll go away for the most part. And I only notice it in cold weather as well now that you mention it.

Strongly recommend you read the *entire* thread first, maybe more than once even though the relative info is at the end

.… soldering the PS wiring is not recommended
