Question Issue with center console-stick glow light

I'm having this weird issue with the center console-stick shift area glow light. It should illuminate at night, and in the P R D N M round center console area. Not sure if there is a fuse for this, or what if anyone has had this issue before.

I had the same problem. It's a tiny bulb. I used Sylvania Long Life bulb #74LL; got a set of 2 at Autozone for $4.99. It's fairly simple to replace:

Remove the shift ****.

Pull up on the console top; it just snaps on/off. You'll see a wire going from the bottom of the console to a white plug. You can unplug it to make it easier to work with.

On the end that attaches to the console bottom, twist and pull the black socket that the wires go into, being careful not to pull on the wires. You may need pliers to break it loose.

Pull the old bulb out.

Put in the new one.

Test it to make sure it works; if not, pull the bulb, turn it 180 and reinsert.

Put everything back together, and you're set.
