Intake voided warranty??

I went to dealership today and did the check up. They found out that i have an intake and they put it on the invoice saying that "by installing of non factory parts such as aftermarket intake would not be covered by warranty and may void engine warranty" scare me to hell... I wonder if i put back my factory intake and i have an engine problem occur. Would that be cover again?? or if i go to other dealership, do they know if i installed aftermarket intake before since this dealership already keep my file on record........

They can not void your warranty unless the aftermarket part (in this case, your intake), can be proven to cause a failure somewhere.

IE : You have aftermarket Intake & Exhaust. You take your car in for suspension troubles. There is no way your intake & exhaust caused your suspension to go out of whack. Therefore, it must be covered,

2nd IE : You have aftermarket Intake & Exhaust. You take your car in for engine trouble. They tell you that your Intake failed to provide effective airflow and caused damage to some components. It is up to them to PROVE that your intake did as they state.

^^ if it is annotated in their system then every dealership in the country knows about it. don't fret though just print out a copy of the Magnuson-Moss Ac, and show them it. :D.

on a side note what kinda intake is it?
