idle rough and hard to start.
I know that there is a ton of posts about this but still cannot find a answer. Here's the lowdown
2006 mt shinka.
Bhr ignition system installed about 1 month ago. Worked great when installed.no problem.
Oil has been changed every 3k or a few hundred miles sooner. I check the oil at every fill up. I premix with lucas every 3 tank fills.
Problem: is very dificult to start. Takes a few more seconds and sputters before starting. When idling it jumps from 800-950 and is very rough. I have cleaned out the MAF.
I havv not found a place I trust around my town that I will havv work on car.
My first idea was possible water aroundmy plugs. They seem very open and exposed.
Any ideas?

Well not exposed but. I can look on the side and see th porcelain of the plugs. Can't see the contacts but It is open all the way to the ground. Not sure if that is normal. Looks like maybe water could get up there

Get out and drive your car .... HARD . Mine used to do all this and I asked a buncha questions and did a buncha searching and changed , coils , plugs , wires , lots of oil changes cleaned the MAF , got new MAF , reset computer lol just everything .... still did it . So I decided **** this im going to sell this car , while it was up for sale I drove the **** out of it , redlining 8-10 times a day , hard into and out of corners , long highway pulls . About 2 days of that and my car has NEVER ran any better , honestly it idles PERFECT at stops now at 900 with no shakes and never dips down to 500 like it used to ........ I took my car off the for sale block hahah

OP, did you change your plugs when you installed the BHR coils? If not you should change your plugs, make sure your wires are installed nice and tight and then see what's up.

maybe your fuel injectors are dirty... i use injector cleaner every 4 fill ups and I've never had that issue.. so give that a try, when you do it put the cleaner in the tank then fill up 3/4th and drive it hard and so it passes through the injectors well... and see if that does anything.
