Possible Solution!

I suggest everyone in this thread having the issue of your car stalling in neutral/having bad idle follow this vid to reset ecu!

About half of this video is nonsense, typical for DrivenByMadness. Just let the car warm up on its own after disconnecting the battery and be ready to catch it if it stalls while coasting in the first drive cycle. If you drive 100 miles and it still can't hold an idle, you have bigger problems than ECU learning. You could do the 20 minute brake stomp, but that has nothing to do with disconnecting the battery.

Hello all, sorry it still won't let me create a new thread, my issue seems to be similar to a lot in here but not the exact same.

Back story, last week i was driving and suddenly the car bogged down and lost all power, i crawled it home but as i did it broke down and stalled at lights, after a few minutes i was able to turn it over (not easily) and CEL was on. When i got it home the CEL was saying misfiring in cylinder one, after reading several posts on here in replaced the coils there (waiting on new leads)... the coils didn't have the white wear marks like others say, but anyway.

After the coils replaced i did the NVRAM and KAM resets, car turned over no worries, let it sit there on idle for a good 10 minutes, a little idle hunting but nothing crazy. Then when i went to take her out for a little drive as im leaving my drive way and i start to accelerate the car bogs down real heavy then stalls again... again it was difficult to turn it over, started to bog down again as i was trying to drive so i gave a bit more acceleration and then it managed to start going, just did a small loop and came back home (so i don;t get stranded again). No CEL and no error codes coming up.

I would have thought if it was leads/coils/plugs at this point it would have an issue with idle too?

Next steps im thinking of cleaning the MAF and throttle body... I was thinking about the CAT but again if the CAT was an issue wouldn't i be having issues when its idling? I can give it throttle whilst idling ok.

Hoping you guys have some wisdom for me!

40th anniversary with 45k miles on it, only mod it has is an upgraded starter motor. Oh yeah i did use a spark plug tester after the first CEL and it did show the front trailing wasn't getting power
