I think I broke my radio :-( and LED :-(

Hi all,
Just got the AuxMod Basic for my RX8 / Bose...
Followed all the instructions (bleeding knuckles cause those connectors are akward!)
Re-assembled but now the red LED display and radio do not work. Climate controls and AC work but I've got no radio nor LED display. :-(

I've checked the fuses inside the passenger footwell and they seem fine. I've had the unit in and out several times to make sure all connectors are tight but still, no display and no radio (or CD). I've unplugged Auxmod to take that out of the equation.

One thing I did notice is that I don;t seem to have 5 connectors to the unit. Only 4. (http://www.whatsmyip.org/ipodrx8/6.php shows a second connector at the bottom going to the climate control but I only have 1 of these). I only have
1 - Big connector mounting to the radio unit itself
2 - 'hanging' connector that is strapped to the back of the radio unit and eventually goes to the LED display
3 - Smaller connector connecting to the centre part at bottom for AC
4 - Arial connector.

Is this right??

I'm really panicing and worried! any thoughts would be really welcomed.
THANKS
Soundguy

...some more info that may help.....

I just took it out for a top up of petrol (boy thats getting expensive!) and found that the lumination doesn't work in the centre console now either. :-( No backlit buttons on the radio and no illumination of the AC controls.

Have I lost a connector somewhere???

Please - any thoughts would be really useful!

Ok - so I spent another day on it....
I've re-checked all fuses (engine bay and footwell)
Checked all rear connectors are located and seem to be seated correctly
but still I have no display, centre illumination or radio (inc CD). The AC works but I have no display or music.

So, if the head amp is 'blown' would this also take out illumination of the centre controls?

I'm thinking that the HU is stuffed but I could use some confirmation from you experienced guys. If its stuffed, does anyone have a Bose HU for sale?

Any other thoughts? Please! Beginning to panic and can't sleep at night!

So, just to complete the thread incase anyone else suffers the heartache I went through...

A kindly soul, (thanks again Rob), told me where the problem was! A track had burnt out on the head unit PCB. If you encounter the same problem I detailled before, its a burnt track at position F01 on the HU PCB. By bridging the burnt track I now have my centre console and audio working perfectly.
My Auxmod is now connected and running like a charm!

All praise to Rob! Cheers!
