Hesitation from a stop/Low RPM's (Have torque logs!)

hesitation when starting from a dead stop or giving gas at very low rpms? wtf could that be? from searching rx8club it suggests coils, but i recently put these coils in and they are testing within spec

Late model 04, 4-spd AT, 51k miles on the clock. fresh ignition parts (within spec), 93 octane always, runs well hard and cruising. Put 500mi on the car this past weekend driving to Orlando and back, car ran perfect before during and after. Symptoms started yesterday afternoon

also like to note: ESS is clean, grounds are good, filter is intact, cat is okay and NOT glowing. I can however hear what sounds like an occasional bog you would typically hear when rpms are coming down to idle, almost like every 4-8 seconds it doesnt complete ignition/combustion in one of the rotors (or might be misfiring)

first log i had no problems except at the very end, also first drive cycle of the day.

second log i had slight hesitation, but not consistently

third was more consistent hesitation

fourth is a short log that i experienced a lot of hesitation.

Edit: RIP engine, but Mazda has approved a new engine

Your LTFT's are off by quite a bit (4.27 average), your STFT's look okay but I would guess a vacuum leak somewhere. Also when you log just log the basics, you don't need all that other crap.

Actually looking at all your logs, your STFT's and LTFT's are all over the place. You have a leak somewhere.

4.27 avg is for the 4 port 4 speed? Just making sure I am understanding clearly

And yes I know that I logged a bunch of extra crap that likely wasn't needed, but I wanted to make sure plenty of information was there to help diagnose the issue.

Vac leak... well at least its not one of the older rotaries with a million vac hoses

Your STFT and LTFT generally should be as close (within 3%) to 0 as possible.

Update: I used the water w/detergent method, and the carb cleaner method; no signs of vac leaks at all.

Here is also a short video clip where you can hear the car at idle having fluctuation

wtf is goign on with your 'measured' o2 readings ...

i had something similar happening to me ... turned out to be loose plugs and wires.

edit: there are times when i can see it leaning out hard because you let off the throttle ... not sure if it is just the polling frequency, but i also see some lean outs when you are accelerateing a few times.

So far this is the status... they tested the cat and on a scale they use between 0% to 7?%, the cat was giving a 2.5%
They are calling MNAO

Yup, have a cat. Car is stock (especially with going to dealer)
They are doing the Loss of Power TSB at request of MNAO, and will run compression afterwards.
