I'm sick to my stomach....I have an 05 that after being parked for a couple of days will crank but won't fire. When I first turned it over it acted like it wanted to fire but now just turns over and get this...sounds different now than before like there's no compression.
I drove the car around town a couple of days ago and everything was awesome...no issues at all....came home, parked it and now this a couple of days later.

Had the plugs/coils/wires replaced 5 months ago..
No check engine light...
Everything was fine until I tried to start it...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Battery and/or connections to battery?

If a manual................pull start it.

 

If it will crank, I don't think it would be a battery issue. It's probably flooded. Either do as Mazurfer says and push/pull start the car or look up the other deflooding procedures outlined in the DIY forum.

 

Thanks guys...Found out my son moved the car a total of 10 ft while I wasn't home and moved it back...FLOODED! Gosh...I couldn't figure out why this car crapped out on me in the driveway!!! Lesson learned, just because it doesn't sound like there's no compression doesn't mean it doesn't exist....Plug removal confirmed that along with enough raw gas vapor to shoot a man to Mars...LOL....Thanks again!!

Agreed, but "turning over" doesn't mean he had enough cranking amps or was spinning up quick enough.
Didn't know about the son moving it ten feet at the time, only what info had been given. Glad he got it started though!
