Help Needed - Novice Suspension Warranty Question

My RX-8 is a 2004 with less than 10k miles on it. I've had no major mechanical problems with the car, but I started noticing last week that there is a creaking/rubbing sound coming from the right front tire area. It almost sounds like there's something wrong with the strut or shock.

I'm by no means a car expert; I just bought the RX-8 b/c I loved it. Has anybody had similar problems with the stock suspension system and is this something that could signal serious problems?

Also, is something like this covered under the warranty? (I'm not a racer by any means and haven't really driven it rough, but I'm bracing for a fight with the dealer on any repairs that are needed.)

Thanks much

You should have no problems up to 12k miles. Notice what you have to do to duplicate the problem and show your dealer.
