I'd personally like to see that engine disected by someone who knows a lot and who doesn't work for mazda. I'd especially like to see those seals, problem is that unless you keep the car, it's not going to happen. (I'm sure you could get the engine replaced for less than that if you either do it yourself or have a reputable shop do it).
