Heat on passenger side, cool on driver side

OK,

It is finally cold in Florida. Got in today, car did not seem to warm up inside. Put hand in passenger foot well, warm air is coming out. Put hand in driver foot well, cool air is coming out. Went to dash vents, cool air on driver side, warm air on passenger side. Center vent was slightly different on the two as well.

Um, the Expedition has a split AC, the 8 does not.

Verified that the temp **** does change temp. Just not getting warm air to driver side. Not ever sure how I could make this happen if I tried. I think the fan blows air, it is mixed (hot and cold) by the temp door, then the air enters the vents.

Anyone ever take one of these air conditioners apart?

When I wanted AC, it blew cold out of both sides.

Thoughts?

Have seen that one and would agree if it were AC, but not the heat. AC works just fine. Unless the coolant is restricted and the same effect (one end of the coils getting hot or cold and not the other). Going to try again today, maybe higher engine speed will flow more hot water.

Solved, was the combination of a Remedy pump and the heater line orifice. Remedy pump flows less at lower speeds, the restriction lowered it even more. But, Remedy pump keeps her happy on the track. I will be looking at a valve for winter.

Thanks though.
