ANOTHER Air Bag Recall - 5 Million cars
Yet another Air Bag recall looks like happening..
This time with the Control Unit Module made by Continental.
Symptoms are failure to deploy Air Bags and or early deployment.
German company Continental has notified it customers (car makers) who are then obliged to contact car owners.
Just when 2015 was THE year of Recalls, 2016 is not starting out very well.
AFAIK Mazda vehicle are not affected by Continental Brand AB (ABS) Control Modules (interior), most of Mazda's are either Bosch or Visteon.

NOT related...
ALL Mazda CX-5's are being recalled, announce a few days ago.
The issue is a potential fire from Fuel Tank/Filler, in the event of a rear end collision in the right area.
The problem, there is a small Bracket attached to the body near the Fuel Filler pipe, in the event of a rear end collision this "Bracket" can rupture the Fuel Filler Pipe and possibly cause a fire.
There have been Zero incidents.
The FIX..
Mazda Dealers will remove this Bracket and it's Bolt, and bog up/seal the bolt hole in body panel with rust protector coating.
Mazda are in the process of contacting owners.
That is all....
