Hard start and faint burning smell

Hey,

I've just had my ignition coils and leads upgraded to performance units and replaced my spark plugs less than a month ago, though within the last week my car is experiencing delayed engine starting when turning the key...i thought when replacing these items its supposed to fix this problem? Also there is a burning smell when I give the engine abit, though it could be from the midpipe but I havn't noticed it within the last year only recently.

What brands did you replace them with? Also you made sure to stick with stock NGK plugs right?

Maybe the problem is with your starter? What year is your car, and miles?

Do you mean when you give it gas you smell something burning? If you are driving you should not be able to smell the midpipe unless you have some wicked exhaust leak. A little more info would help.

It is an '04 model, the coils were replaced with a high performance kit with a Bosch external igniter (cost $850 so wasn't cheap), NGK leads and NGK plugs.

What coils are those exactly? Where/who did you buy them from?
