Exclamation Had windshield replaced, now RX_8 won't start

I just had a company come out to my house to replace my windshield. It was done in less than 20 minutes. The tech. said to let the car sit for 45 minutes while the seal dried. After 2 hours I went to start my car and it won't start. This is not a battery problem. The battery works fine...the lights still come on, my garage door still is programed thru my rear view mirror. I have no idea why this is happening and the dealership isn't open for two more days...any ideas? Could the tech. have accidentally disengaged something? Does the computer shut down the car if the windshield comes out as a precaution? I have no idea what do do except wait until Monday and tow the car to the dealership. Any ideas????

There is nothing in the removal/installation instructions in the factory shop manual that mentions any immobilizer issue. If the car was moved during the process and shut off cold, it may be flooded. Assuming that the engine cranks but will not start, try the de-flooding procedure in the owners manual. If the engine does not crank, the battery is weak. A weak battery may still operate the lights but not have enough energy to run the starter motor.

If it sits there and makes a ticking sound when you try to start it, it's flooded. You can try and do the deflood procedure (hold down the gas pedal, let it crank for 5 to 7 seconds, take foot off pedal, then start normally) or get a tow to the dealership.

Had the starter/battery/plugs replaced yet?

Yeah, my husband thinks it's flooded. He moved it off of the driveway (which was at a slant) to have the car level on the ground in from of the house. He said he started the car, and reversed it, then shut it down...it about 15 seconds. So I think it's flooded. I had no idea we need to let it run for awhile, or he wouldn't have shut if off cold. We had a 1985 RX7 forever and never had this problem. He's trying to clean the spark plugs...it's a bear to get to them...he had to jack the car up to get under the hood to remove the spark plugs...we have been all over town but no one carried iridum spark plugs...so we are cleaning them, drying them..and if that doesn't work, we'll have to tow it to the dealership in the a.m.

When you hold down the gas pedal in the RX8 it disables the fuel injectors. While turning it over with the gas pedal down, it should clear the rotors. Once cleared, you can try starting it normally.
