Hi-- I own an 04 RX8 GT, for which I recently purchased the nav disc for the GPS from Navteq (OEM dealer). When I booted it up, the GPS showed me located somewhere in California. Only problem is I live in MA.

Thought at first it was a reception issue, and that I just had to let it calibrate, so I took it for an hour drive with clear skies to no avail. The weirdest part is the gps DOES have reception because I can see myself changing direction and moving along at the proper pace, the problem is it is in the completely wrong state and it is kind of funny because it thinks I am driving through lakes and airports and stuff.

Would this be an issue with the disc, the console, or the receiver? And is there a reset code for the unit? Thanks for looking, and any help is appreciated!

 

You may have to "select a destination" in order to get on the correct map. Check the owners manual for the procedure, it's located in the rear of the manuel.
