I tried to start my 8 and it wouldn't crank. As I opened my door to get out I heard gas pouring out of the tank on to the concrete. I had it towed to the local Nissan dealership because the closest Mazda dealership is 60 miles from me. They said a plastic ring was broken. I imagine they're referring to the fuel pump retainer ring? They called Mazda and apparently Mazda doesn't sell the ring by itself? They want me to purchase a hose that goes with it. Nissan said they could figure something out and get it working again. I don't know if they are rigging something or what. Does this sound right?
