Front wheel lugs getting loose?

Hello, my rx8 is 04, 110000km.
Recenly after driving to my friends house and coming back home, i started to hear this weird sound coming out from my driver side front suspension.
I came back home and jacked up the car to see what's going on.
and I found out that my front wheel lugs got loose. (2 of them)
I tightened them up and the weird sound were gone. (took of the wheel and tightened them in the star pattern)
After about two weeks, I started to hear weird sound again.
I came home, tightened my lugs and sound was gone again.
I haven't taken off my front wheels for long time. (prob about a year now)
What could be the problem?
please help.
thank you

U need to torque it to about 108 ft lbs.

Well, it's pretty easy actually, just get the bar from the trunk, hold the very end and pull it UP with all your might. you should be able to torque it close to 100 ft lbs. the bar is about 1 foot long so after u tighten it regularly till it stops, turn it for another 1/4 turn it should be right at 100 ft lbs.

what I am trying to ask is that
why would my lugs get loose all the sudden when it was fine for more than year?

properties of metals ... they expand, contract, and degrade over time.

Joke Answer: They are trying to tell you to rotate your tires.

Were they torqued to spec in the first place?

You don't mention, but are these the OEM wheels AND the original lug nuts?

If not, the more common lug nuts used in the aftermarket are the acorn or conicalseat lugs which typically have a 60° angle, however, some use a 63° angle on some of their tuner-style wheels. This could cause a mismatch and your problems if it's the case. If all is OEM, could there be some type of abnormal wear that is causing the lugs to not seat corectly? And as others have said, get a torque wrench and make sure you have 108 ft-lbs on them.
