Front Tire Rubbing

My front Right tire (2005 RX8AT) seems to rub when making somewhat sharp left turns at speed. Has been going on for a while. It actually seems to slow car down a distinct feeling of rubbing or some contact of tire with something. Tires are stock size. HAve looked in wheel well for signs of rubbing on body of vehicle and see nothing. No suspension modifications have been done. Otherwise car handles flawlessly, no such problem when making right turns.

Any body ever have this problem ? Could it be a shock just on that side of vehicle ? Would that be first thing to check ? What else ?

Thanks.

^+1, something is loose. No way it should be rubbing. Go look at ALL(and I mean all) the plastic push pins that hod the wheel well pastic covers on. I'll bet some are mossing or they got torn out when you hit something.

Mine did this too, when going uphill and at the top of the hill, making a sharp left hand turn. Never any other time - just at the top of the hill. If I went slowly, it wouldn't rub. If I went with any speed at all, it rubbed as you described. I hated it. I've since moved, so I didn't follow up with the dealer on it. Bet it's the same thing I had going on. Let me know what you find out. I even think there may be a TSB on this issue.

Best of luck with it.

Thanks for advice. Oddly I checked both front wheel wells and it is the left front wheel well that is damaged. Front portion of left wheel well is in bad shape although it doesn't appear that it is interfering with wheel during turns but must be. It also appears that the push pin on the inside bottom is gone (along with some of the plastic itself). If there is no longer any place to put a push pin what is best way to fix without having to replace entire wheel well plastic ?
