flooded my Baby rx8

So just before winter i belive i flooded my engine * cause weak battery*
so today is my first day off in months and my GF aint home. So i opened a beer and figured i would spend Valentines day with the RX8. tried almost every method listed on here even undoing the back seat and unplugging the pump. Nothing seems to work. So i figured ill jack up the car and take out the spark plugs, then take out the Fuel Fuse, and Crank the car with the clutch and gaz pedal to the floor. Good news engine is turning fine so for now i dont need a new engine lol.
Jumped back under the car to see what was going on after a few crancks and i see so black'ish stuff comming out of the spark plug wholes. Im no expert but im going to say this is a flooded engine. So ill leave the spark plugs out for 3/4 hours to give it time to dry. Then ill pop in the new battery and see whats up.

Anyone got any comment on something i might have done wrong. Or might be able to inform me that this aint a flooded engine haha.

thx

Sounds like it to me I've seen that on a lawn mower with a bad carb but never on a car. Thankfully never flooded my 8. Use google to search for what to do that much fuel could be you have grater troubles.

Black sounds like gasoline that has sludged with disolving carbon and oil, which wouldn't be surprising. My only caution is that you don't try too many different methods at the same time. Stick with one deflooding method.

Just waiting for the sludge to evaporate wont work. The first rotation of the engine is just going to foul the new plugs I assume you will install. You will need to remove all of it before attempting to start your engine.

crank the engine about once an hour with the plugs out, do that several times then put good clean plugs back in and try it.
