Flashing P0302....

Vehicle Details:
3rd owner
04 6spd GT
65,000~
Plugs are ~12k old
Coils at least 35k old. Ive never replaced them, dont know if previous owners have

Scenario:
Raining
Fuel level at E line.
Put 4 gallons 91oct in, Noticed they just finished topping off the underground tanks at the gas station. Then I drove 1.5miles to a store. When I came out to start my car instantly the car had a rough idle and a solid CEL light, then a flashing CEL light. Drove .7miles and then for about 10-20 seconds everything was fine. CEL went back to solid and drivability returned to normal. Then the rough idle and extra exhaust noise. Typical misfiring/dead rotor sound. Pulled into my work and read the code. P0302 Rotor 2 misfire detected. I noted down all the FreezeFrame data.

Freeze Frame Data:
Throttle Position: 13%
Engine Coolant temp: 196degF
IAT: 90degF
Spark Advance: 5deg
Absolute Load Value: 22%
APPD: 31%
APPE: 20%
Ambient Air Temp: 90degF
Baro: 29.83inhg
Engine Load: 35%
Catalyst Temp B1S1: 250degF
CMD Equivalence Ratio: 1.03:1
CMD Throttle Actuator: 3%
CMD Evap Purge: 28%
Fuel Level Input:37%
Fuel System Status B1: Closed B2: Disabled
LTFT B1: 2.3%
MAF: 4.78gs

Turned the vehicle on after clearing the code and the car acted fine. I drove to a Chevron and put another 3 gallons in. 4 days later(today) the car started acting up again randomly at a stoplight. I pulled into a different gas station and put 3 more gallons in. The symptoms persisted. I had to nurse the car back home and let the car sit for an hour. The vehicle started up fine with just a solid CEL. I pulled the drivers side rear seat cushion off and took off the fuel line and purged it a couple times(key on, engine off), Symptoms are gone.

I put the fuel in a clear jar and noticed a slight layer of another clear liquid ontop of the fuel. I believe its water.

What would the probability that the issue lies with water in the fuel tank and what would be the easiest remedy to remove said water? Dropping the tank or popping off the fuel pump lock and siphoning it out?

Thanks in advance.

Update .

After poking around in my spare time. I finally threw in the towel and took the car into the dealership.

I drained all the gas out of the car and put 4 gallons of shell 91 in. The problem still persisted. So I checked out all the coils. I pulled the resistance specs off of alldata and whipped out my dmm. All 4 were in spec. And that's when I decided to have Mazda look at it.

After 5 hours of having the car they couldn't give me a definite answer other than a 960$ estimate for throwing coils plugs and wires at it. So I trailered home and will be ordering the parts from mazmart.

a quick search of cel P0302, then finding the info related to that cel would have saved you much time and effort

gas is rarely a cause of engine misfires...
