I had to remove the console yesterday in order to install the red parking break handle.

After I got it together I had one extra part. It is a felt pad 8.5 inches long and 5 inches wide. It isn't something I removed knowingly. It must have stuck to the bottom of one of the console parts or the ash tray when I removed them. It is black and fell onto my black floor and I didn't notice the darn thing till I was putting away tools.

Could someone please tell me where this goes?

Looks like it goes in the tray under the armrest, either in the back one or in the front one.

 

Yep, that exactly where it goes. Probably the front "super-secret" compartment. Neither of them are glued down, so they come out easily.

I was convinced that it somehow came from somewhere more forward and overlooked the obvious.
