While back i installed the RP supercat, i didn't get the gasket kit because i didn't even think about it. question is how important is it to get a new gasket to get that seal on the system. when it was installed there wasn't a leak but they didn't increase engine load. anyway sounds like there could be a leak but not huge or anything, could just be the damn POS heat shield that it came with. thanks for the imput. Get the car up on stands. You'll find the leak/rattle.

 

i guess its nothing big, but i had a leak in mine, the sound was loud and filled up my cabin right away...got a gasket, put it in, then i notice A LOT more of the sound was coming out the back end, and it was a lot quieter and less smelly

i got a 3inch gasket from autozone for like 5 bucks or somethin...got home but the car on the jacks took out all the 2 of the bolts, slid the gasket in, and tightened reall good...

you wont be able to find the right gasket, but just get the 3 inch one they sale...and your gonna have to customize it a lil ...or take it into a muffler shop and see what they can do
