Engine Throttle Response Time - Blip Blip Blip

I'm filled in on the weird low end torque and hi-revving driving style of the 8, but I'm not sure about my throttle response. I sit at the stoplight and blip the throttle (sometimes just to practice the heel-toe) but I feel like there's a lag in the engine response to the throttle.

It feels exactly like my flywheel is too heavy. That's the feeling. Otherwise torque is great and I can burn about 20' of rubber whenever i want. The car does steep, slow climbs just fine. So I doubt a compression issue.

Anyone have thoughts on how to improve this? Thanks.
