engine stutter on start up

hey guys, sorry for making a new thread but I couldn't find the answer to what I'm looking for.

so when I start my engine it always starts but it does a little stutter and I feel like it not going to start. I'm not sure if this is a problem that needs to tended to immediately or what. Could it just be spark plugs or something like the car needs more oil? My engine only has 24k miles on it and I've never had problems wit it before so I don't think it's an engine problem or atleast I'm hoping it's not.

thanks.

prob the plugs. Its time to change your plugs if you have 24k miles anyways.

I had a problem where the engine would sputter for a couple minutes after starting in the morning. It was found that coolant was leaking into one of the rotors over night. The engine was replaced.
I guess the way to verify if that is a problem would require a bore scope.

Pressure testing the cooling system would show this, as long as the rest of the cooling system is up to par. Every engine I build sits overnight w/ 20PSI of compressed air in it to verify a coolant seal didn't get pinched during assembly.

Im having the same issue, sometimes she doesnt want to start.. She never sputters once she starts.. Seems like a bit sluggish when i start to take off in 1st or low RPM in 2nd. Im thinking the coils are shot. Ive just put new plugs in her and she responds better

I know this post is old but i'm having the same problem. Engine stutters during ignition and the engine rumbles in mid-high rpms (4-7k). There are times that when it gets high too quick that it throws a blinking CEL and a red indicator saying my coolant level is low. I checked the coolant level and it is fine. I have a 2005 rx8 6MT with 74k miles. All parts are still the original ones that came with the car (bought it new) except for the intake and exhaust (aftermarket).

What have you done about the blinking CEL? See my signature at the bottom of this post.

The blinking CEL goes away when i slow the car down. I just have to build the RPM's slowly and top it off at 3.5-4k doing 70mph. Only happens during 2nd or 3rd gear when i try to catch up to highway speeds. Can i still pull a code when the CEL goes away?

EDIT: saw the post on your sig. really helpful but why does the coolant light come on too?
