While driving home today from work my engine decided it was time for a nap. I was in second gear at about 5k rpms getting ready to shift to third when it made a noise like it was seizing up then it just turned off, I was able to coast home ( I was going down a hill thankfully) I tried to turn the car on, it would turn over but not on, a few times it did and it would bog real low like it didn't have fuel or something then turn off again. Had it towed to Mazda, I was only at 83k, so hopefully they wont try and screw me on the warranty, any ideas what could have happen?

 

when was the last time you changed your plugs and coils?

 

It had been a while since they have been changed, that would really cause the car to die while driving?

Dealer called, new engine is the verdict. So what can I expect.
