Thumbs up Engine Problems?

Since there has been all this complaining and questioning about engine flooding and stuff I thought I'd try to even it out with a happy story...

The temperature has been hovering around 26~28 all day with light flurries throughout the day. When I tried to start my car around 4 to leave school I turn the key....

nik-nik-nik-nik-vrooooooooooommm

After I drove it about 60 miles to my hockey game (wich we won ), and leaving it out in the cold for around 2 hours, I go to start it...

nik-nik-nik-nik-nik-nik-nik-nik-vroooooooooooommmmmm

Then after about an hour having dinner with my teammates (the restraunt was plenty far enough for the engine to warm up) I crossed my fingers and...

nik-nik-nik-nik-nik-nik-wheeezzze *deep breath* nik-nik-vrooooooommm

And I enjoyed a pleasant cruise over a lightly dusted road back to my warm comfy home.

A while ago someone posted that if you keep these potential problems in the back of your mind then they won't be. So far that's been working out with me.

Unhappy Water in oil ???

Recently discovered a milky substance on my dipstick... Called my Mazda service department and was told Mazda says this is normal.. Anyone else seen this problem ? I can't see how mixing water and oild can be a benefit to the engine..

Renesis Racer, I think that being on these boards will sometimes get you so paranoid over your car. The paranoia creeps in with me all the time. But I just try to remember that the people with the problems will tend to come in here and rant and rave about the issue they had with their car alot more than the people who have good experiences. And the truth is, there was probably a good explanation for their issue (ie. didn't warm up the car, battery was drained, etc.). Happy motoring...

Yeah, that's just the cranking problem we were talking about last week or so...Most people's cars seem to do it to some extent, though I haven't really been able to pinpoint why. (It's not cold weather, because I live in Florida...unless you consider 50 degrees "cold.") It seems to do it worse for me when I make quick trips where the car is only warm for about have the drive. I think it's just one of those quirky things with our cars.
