i was entering the highway, so i rev up like say 8-9rpm each gears. 1st, 2ed 3rd gear at 7-8rpm going at 70+ mph, then my engine light went flashing for maybe 7sec. i slow down then went solid. was just wondering if you guys had this be4 n what u guys got repair or what they say needs repair from the shop. my engine light been on for about 4 months now, was storage from winter time, still havent drove it yet, but start it up once in a while from cold weather. 2004 with 23K millage

Could be anything. Get the code and post it. It sounds simlar to the issue I had with my intake and SSV. Again, not sure till I see the code.

My code was P2004 and ended up being a lower intake manifold.

o, didnt know this got post up so i made 2 of them, sry, anyways havent got service yet car still in the garage for like 3 months now. brought the car when it was at 17K millage

 

when that happend, car still drove normal, no sounds

The best thing you can do in a situation like this since you have no idea what your car is telling you is head to Autozone or an equivillent or find somebody with a code reader so you can see exactly why the car is throwing a code... that will point you in the correct direction. Once you figure out what the car doesn't like then you can fix it. And, you probably didn't want to drive for 4 months or whatever with an engine light on if you didn't know why it cam on in the first place, you're just asking for more malfunctions/ problems. Hope that helps.

I had a misfire second rotor when that happened to me..
