As long as I have owned my 06 AT the engine and the tire pressure light has stayed on due to cold air intake and after market rims I posted about haveing what felt like power loss well it still does the jolting and staling when I get into the gas pedal I haft to down shift to get a response well anyway the engine light is staying off now I don't know what this could mean? What any off my problems mean at that!

Your tire light is on because you likely don't have the TPMS installed on your new rims or they don't accept the TPMS at all so it can't sense the sensors anymore.

Try cleaning your MAF sensor, and what kind of aftermarket cold air intake is it? I would suggest trying to reset your ECU via disconnecting the negative cable off the battery to reset it so it can map to your intake.

An 8 owner down here has the Greddy CAI as well and was experiencing similar symptoms. He put an intake screen on his Greddy intake and it made it better, but I think he still stalls out sometimes.

A few things come to mind; MAF sensor needs to be cleaned, ECU needs to be reset, possible O2 sensor failure. If you have the original cat on you might have a bad cat as well depending on how many miles are on the car.

If you're getting an engine light, stop at a gas station that has a garage and ask them to read the CEL code for free and come back to post what it is. This will guide you better towards the main culprit.

Please don't do this......

The Tech Forum has a list of over 140 specific engine codes for this car - if you can't be bothered buying a $40 code reader, or stopping somewhere that will read it for free, please don't come here and ask us to waste time at guessing...."my engine light is on, what do you think it could be?"

Please.

I am her husband. We were just trying to figure out why her check engine light would go off out of nowhere. I am thinking it was because while hooking up her system the ecu reset its self when batt got unhooked. Then the car ran its self checking it had realized once again that there is a problem with car (aftermarket parts) the engine light has came back on now. Car runs great. Just as it always has. So I believe the problem in question has been resolved. We do thank you guys for all the info though. I might go to parts store and pull codes to see anyway. Just to know for sure it is exhaust. Stay posted for the codes. It might be a few days though. Thanks again
