Engine freeze at 3000 rpm !

2005 GT. While cruising 4th gear, the engine goes to 3000 rpm. no response from gas pedal. No power. had to downshift to 1st gear. The car can barely move. I let i stay for a few minutes. Then restart, Engine goes to 3000 rpm. did this 3 times. The 3rd time engine was ok ( 1000 rpm). The dealer already change the Throttle body and the Gas Pedal. They Change parts but they do not know what the problem is. Any idea ?? Thanks

There should be a CEL, and I would say 90% is your Cat being blocked by something(or Exhaust was **** blocked by something)

No way it doesnt have any CEL stored in ECU.

Engine light - Limp home mode - Throttle body replaced (-24c weather)

2004 GT with 38K, in the shop now getting the throttle body replaced.

I've never had any problems except the past couple days, which is the first time it has been lower then -20c. Last night I started it up and it shot up to 4500 RPM then slowly dropped to 3K for a few seconds, then down to 2K. Didn't think much of it at the time, I just figured it was because it was so cold out.

This morning it was -24c (-30 with the wind) and I went out to let it warm up for 4 or 5 minutes. It started fine, around 3K then dropped to 2K, but then it started jumping between 1500 and 3K constantly until I pushed in the clutch. No matter what I did it wouldn't stop, so I held the clutch in for a while then shut it off (to prevent flooding). Again, I thought it was the extreme cold and just odd behaviour.

When I finally had to leave I started it up and reversed out of the driveway. Immediately the engine light and DSC light lit up and stayed on, and the car entered Yugo mode (3km/hr, limp home mode, engine runs at 3K all the time). I stopped, shut it off, let it sit for a minute, then started it again, this time no DSC light but the engine light was on. As I made my way to the dealership I hit this 'limp home mode' once more, and upon arrival was told by the dealership that the throttle body was shot and needed to be replaced. So now I sit and stare at the 07 brochures and hope that when my lease is up the 08's come with a supercharger =)

Once I know what fixes it, I'll post a update.
