IL Duralast Clutch set!

I'm thinking on changing my clutch because the other day i heard a snap when i depress the clutch pedal, so i was thinking of just buying a new clutch set and I live next to an Autozone and they have the duralast clutch set with lifetime warranty. I was wondering if someone would recommend the DURALAST clutch and why ?? I was searching for reviews on it for the rx8 checking if someone already drives their rx8 with the duralast clutch.

You can get an Exedy (the oem clutch) for way cheaper. Even an Exedy Stage 1 is cheaper and much better than the Duralast.

I haven't posted it prior, but I have an Exedy Stage 1 Organic HD clutch, new in box. It's this exact one.

EXEDY 10803AHD Racing Clutch Kit : Amazon.com : Automotive EXEDY 10803AHD Racing Clutch Kit : Amazon.com : Automotive

It's what I'm currently running. It feels just like the OEM clutch.

$350 + shipping.

PM me if you're interested.

Only good thing about autozone parts are the ones that requires little to no labor, clutch is NOT one of them

and there are so many ways to deny a clutch warranty.

Buy exedy

If this was your clutch pedal bracket breaking (from your previous description it sounds like it was) you will need to purchase that as well.

Yeah, the Duralast is like $700, so about double the Exedy. The OE clutch is pretty tough. Never had one go out. I just swap it out when the trans gets pulled. Just took one out recently that has three race seasons on it and it is still fine, but again the trans is out so I just do it regardless. Moral of the story is the cost isn't justified.

Yes i notice that in autozone the DURALAST clutch cost 600 dollars but I have a friend that works there and he lower the price to 300 plus life time warranty. that's why I was wondering if I should get it and if anyone knew how well it was on the rx8.
