DTCs causing a no start
The following codes are showing on my OBD2 reader. A few questions...
Which code(s) are causing a no start?
Also, there were a total of 11 codes but, after resetting a few times, these 5 keep coming back. Why were the other codes even thrown.... except, in my opinion, to give mazda dealers more things to replace to charge you for?
The codes are:
p0031
p2259
p0661
p0037
p0443
Other information:
The MAF was just replaced, the car started, ran for about 10 seconds, turned off.
The other day, I pulled all the fuses that had to do with fuel and the ECU, and battery disconnected for about 5 minutes. Put all back in, car started and ran for over 15 minutes, normal. Drove it back to my daughter's house, she started it up the next day and, it ran for about 2 minutes to warm up and shut off and gave the above codes after resetting a few times. The MAF was dirty and looked burned a little so, replaced it, car started up and ran normal for about 10 seconds and died. It will not start now.
If I erase the codes and pull the fuses and main fuse and disconnect the TB sensor and another sensor in that area (sorry not sure what it is called), put all back together in about a minute or so, erase codes, none come back, car starts, runs normal for 10 seconds to 20 minutes then, without warning, shuts off, wont start and gives several codes that, when reset, the above 5 remain, no start. It is electrical and is driving me crazy.
Any help will be much appreciated. Especially the code(s) causing the no start. After reading about them, I thought it was the 2259 but, many of the posters were driving their cars with that code. Is it a combo of any of the ones above?
I ask this cause, many of the codes, in the past, were related to one code and when that item was fixed, other codes no longer existed so, I want to fix the part(s) that will fix all without replacing working parts.
Example: Nothing wrong with the drive by wire Throttle but, in the past, that code was thrown but, after resetting and fixing one part, car drove for 35k miles so, I know that part was fine even though the code was thrown saying it was an issue.
Thanks,
Cliff
