DIY full tune-up/decarb (rotor decarb too)

skip to the end if youre only interested in the engine decarb.

sorry didnt take time for pics, my radiator cracked at the reservoir/radiator nipple, spraying coolant everywhere, so while the rad is out and im waiting on parts i am taking the time to clean/service/check everything out. bought used at 114k 1 year ago, original motor, good/high end of in-spec compression, always premixed, plugs/wires/coils stay fresh, cat is dead but nothing left in there now. 135k miles as of last week. yes i DD it as well.

coolant system is all buggered with sludge. checked/cleaned thermostat, have an issue with clogged heater core (parts coming going to swap it out), radiator had sludge, most lines had sludge, ive dealt with all of that. used a mix of vinegar let it sit for 30 minutes then pushed (low pressure) air backflushing etc, then distilled water with baking soda, back and forth to clean out as much of the gunk in the heater core as i could. got a TON out but probably gonna swap in a clean one anyways.

i also took the time to remove and clean the following...
upper intake manifold
upper intake manifold extension
throttle body
MAF
SSV
cleaned ESS
cleaned accordion hose
clean/test thermostat
clean/check water pump
checked all solenoids
removed/cleaned OMP system/lines
...any and all coolant related parts (hoses etc) i could get to
...any and all related air/vac parts (UIM mani vac lines etc) i could get to

now i have worked on and owned 4 other RX-7's before; one on its last legs i did the ATF treatment to and it worked rather well. i know its hell on the coolant seals, never used it on the 3 i loved and took care of, but for this i was wondering if i could use carb cleaner (stripped all the carbon/oil gunk out of the TB, UIM parts, etc). Brake cleaner worked even better.

my idea/theory is to remove all 4 spark plugs, hand crank the motor over slowly till i can see the apex seals, blast them with either carb or tb cleaner, hit the rotor faces with carb or tb cleaner as well, and let it drip/air dry with a shop vac blowing air through leading or trailing plug holes to blast all the carbon laden throttle/brake cleaner fluid out, all while the car is sitting/cold, repeating till i get no more black crap coming out.

afterwards hand crank slowly to each apex seal/rotor face and mist in some idemitsu/2 stroke, as well as up my premix and prime the OMP lines/OMP system, basically adding a lot more oil than normal to give OMP system time to prime properly.

adding about 1/2 quart of idemitsu to 1/4 tank of gas, leaving the spark plugs out and cranking (keep in mind i hit the seals and faces with oil already) till i see oil moving in the OMP lines, all the while allowing only fuel and oil in (no spark), then let each face/combustion chamber air dry, lightly remist with oil, let air dry again (so i dont flood it), put some new plugs coils and wires in, and fire it up.

thoughts? ideas? recommendations/experiences etc?

Moved to Troubleshooting since this isn't much of a DIY.
