Cruise control occasionally behaving strangely
Sometimes when I'm driving down the highway and I resume my cruisecontrol, it accelerates fairly hard, right past the last speed that I set.
Usually I immediately cancel it, but the other day I decided to let it go and see what happens.
I was going about 100kph and the cruise was last set to about 110kph... when I pressed RES it accelerated to about 120kph and then started alternating full-throttle / coasting about once every second.
Anyone have any idea what would cause this? Only warning lights I have are headlight auto-leveling, which is pretty much always on (suspect due to corrosion, as discussed in another thread here).
It doesn't always happen, and its easy to correct... but I'm curious what it could be.

It's just your car saying your not driving it hard enough.
I've had that Issue since I bought my car in 05. Mazda could never replicate it and I never cared that much. It doesn't happen very often at all.
