Crazy Popping Noise

I've been driving my RX-8 about once a week now that winter is setting in. And recently, when I throw it in reverse to pull out of the garage I hear a loud pop and the car seems to stall for just a second. Anybody else have this problem? It only happens the first time I drive it after sitting for a week. Something to do with the cold?

Probably your rear brake pads sticking to the disc, either from the cold (freezing) or water (rust)... You can avoid it by not putting on your emergency brake, but it's not really hurting anything. Happens to me often...

it happens to me if i wash my car and a lot of water gets on the rotors, then let it sit until the next day.
