Cost to repair dock lock

Hello

My passenger side auto door lock no longer works, by either the driver side door lock button, or the fob button. It's been failing for the past month or two and stopped completely.

The button press results in just a click sound, no movement on the latch.

I've read posts about it being the actuator etc.

Just wondering if anyone had this repaired and the cost? It's not critical, just an inconvenience.

Thanks

the latch/actuator comes as one piece, the part number is FE02-58-310D, Mazda list price is $136.52.

i would assume labor would be about an hour.

I have this same problem, but it is the driver's door lock. I hear a click and sometimes it manages to lock, but more often then not it doesn't.

Would you happen to know the part number for the driver's side?

i am fairly certain the "theft alarm" = immobilizer or the keyless entry, which every US Rx8 has, so not having the VIN i would opt for the theft alarm version.

the disclaimer is; even though i've been playing dealership for a long time, i'm not always right!

the VIN will pick the correct one.
