Coolant temp

okay, the problem starts when i pass the 60mph mark ( 100km/h) usually cruising on the highway. I was monitoring my coolant temp and it ranges between 195F (91c) to 204F (96c) as soon as I pass the 199F (93c) mark my radiator light turns on.. has anyone checked their coolant temps while cruising? and what were your results ?

I'm gonna upload a picture of my guages at 80mph and my oil guage seems a little high but that could just be me.

either your coolant is low or the sensor is bad. check level first. if not then replace the senor.

^ yeah the coolant level is good, i thought it would be the sensor. thanks for the reply i'll give it a try.. but one last thing, wouldn't the sensor be bad all the time, not just at certain temps ?

at certain rpm the flow of the coolant might be high enough to actually cause some turbulence inside the coolant reservoir to activate the sensor.

I had the exact same issue. It was a bad sensor that got triggered when the coolant was moving fast after I'd been driving for a while.
