I own an '07 GT 178000 kms and just recently have been getting a random coolant light on cold starts. It lasts for about 30 sec then it goes away. I've checked levels, checked for leaks and ran diagnostics, to no avail. I've been to dealer and they say its the coolant sensor, and the bottle must be replaced. I've read several posts on this subject but most talk about during 'spirited' driving. My situation is different, its on cold starts, I see nothing during 'spirited' driving. Does anyone have any insight as to what the problem might be?

 

Coolant sensor is probably bad if it is full.
