Radiator Coolant Queries

Radiator Coolant Queries
I've had a look around the forum and the internet in general, it seems that basically everyone has trouble reading the level of the coolant, the F-L lines are hidden to the side and the container is cross-sectioned into two parts.
Now Im not due for a service until March next year but from what I can see (only looking inside the container) coolant seems low. I can't spot the liquid from the outside. I will try some tips from the forum and shine a light down at night.
If it is low, should I top it up with water, dilute or just coolant? Some people seem to leave it to the sensor but further browsing the forums this sensor seems to mess up often and doesn't seem reliable.
Cheers!

I would recommend topping off with 50/50 but water would be fine too. The level is only hard to see when the reservoir is old and yellowing. But if the low level light is working you don't really need to a visual inspection.

You can see the level. The markers are on the left side of the tank when looking at the engine bay from the front of the car. You don't need to move anything to see it. Just look at it from the side If you really can't see the level, top it up so it's about 2.5 inches from the coolant cap. If you're gonna use water, make sure it's distilled water.

Your little finger makes a good "dipstick" to check the water level with When the car is cool, remove the coolant cap and stick your little finger in there. If the tip of your finger gets wet ... you're good to go.
