Is it just cranking? You probably flooded it. Does it sound like it wants to start? Did you shut it down cold?

No crank and battery is ok & jumped from a running car, right?

- Do you have good power to the car?
(turn on the high beams and see if bright or dim).

- Do you have a click from the starter solenoid?
(listen in the engine compartment)

My bet is a gentle tap(s) on the starter with a wooden hammer handle will free up moisture frozen in the starter solenoid or bendix drive.

sending you email as well...

A little terminology will help you get a better solution...

NO CRANK means that the starter motor is not turning the engine over (turning over means that the rotors are turning).

CRANKS, NO START is the problem that you have clarified that you are having.

From Mazda's TSB to dealers: "A cranks, no start condition may be caused either by fuel flooded spark plugs or lower than normal compression due to apex seals locked into rotor groove from carbon accumulation."
