Coil problem

I just purchased the Racing Beat ignition wires. While I was put then on one of my coils was seperated in two parts at the point where it connects with the wire. I put it back with the rubber connector it had and it looked like everything is O.K. Is there any possibility it broke.

A photo of the coil would help.

Its very hard to get a photo now. Just one question, the coil has two parts that are connected with a rubber cylinder? Sorry, for my English

This is what Mazda Ignition Coils look like, are you referring to the sparkplug wire?
