Clutch Issues (Please Help)

Ok, last week I was driving my 2004 Mazda RX-8. I was driving and everything was fine. I went to perform a 3 point turn and reverse was very hard to shift into. so I drove about 100 yards and decided to try again. It was impossible to put into reverse this time. The clutch peddle felt fine. So I decided to take it home, within 15 minutes my clutch peddle had went completely to the floor. There were no sounds or anything. Most of the driving was non-stop. But it managed to go completely out. so I had to have my car towed home. To me this seems strange for a clutch to go out that fast and also when it felt perfectly fine. I went to check the clutch fluid and noticed it runs off the brake fluid. Could it be anything else?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Either the clutch master cylinder or the slave likely...could be a hydraulic leak as well

Or a broken Pedal..

So it doesn't sound like the clutch to you either? Also, is there anyway to toubleshoot it to find out which one it could be? BTW Thanks for the info.

I see the master cylinder it's fed from the brake fluid resevor. But about where is the slave cylinder? Topside? Bottom side? Driver Side? Passenger side?

pedal pushes on master....master fluid pushes on slave pisto which pushes on clutch lever to disengage clutch.

Any leaks or air in system....pedal goes to floor and doesn't do anything...

Check for leaks....check fluid level in brake container...

There will be a leak somewhere..

look around..........

All the leaks from the clutch will be on the drivers side of the transmission/ rear of the engine area
