Clutch click and idle dip.
Hey all, I've had my 2004, 6 speed RX8 for about two months now and I replaced the motor mounts about a month ago because it was making my car vibrate bad at idle (good ol' passenger side mount as usual). Anyway, I have a couple things I'd like to get some other's thoughts on. First up, when I take off from a stop, I hear a clicking sound up until around 4k rpms or so, doesn't seem to make driving any different but it sounds irritating as all hell. The dealer said it has a brand new clutch, so maybe they lied or PPF allignment? And two, when I start my car cold, when the needle falls to around 2500 rpms the car vibrates and I hear this sound coming from around the driver side. The sound sounds like if you had your ear next to the exhaust pipe, that poppy air flow sound. But when it's warmed up it goes away, but the rpms will occassionally, briefly dip to 500 and come right back. Also, I hear a rattling from under the car so I'm thinking it all could be connected to maybe a shot cat converter, maybe? Thanks all, sorry for the book length questions.
