Check Engine Light

Car is 2006 Manual 29k miles.

So I drove to school like normal and when I go to start it after the check engine light is on. I drove it home, it was running / driving normally. Engine sounded fine. (and yes the gas cap is on)

So, should I go to autozone to get the code read? Unplug the battery/reset the car to see if it goes away?

I am assuming this is just a failing sensor or something, anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

I think the issue is that your "search" button is apparently broken!

Anyway, your answer can be found here -> https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...hlight=coolant

Yeah, that thread is way overkill, but read the first two posts, your answer is actually in the 2nd post.

Or

If you don't care about the science at all and just want the answer, then see this post. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...05096#poststop

There are almost as many threads on this subject as there are about oil.
