I was wondering if anyone would know ... I'm getting my engine replaced for a third time . Does the new engine get any type of warranty extension or does it default to the 8 years/100,000 miles? regardless of when the engine was replaced?

What should I expect their response to be?

One would think that with all the experience you have in engine replacements, you would already know this answer?
Sorry.........I can't really help in answering your question and not trying to be an @ss, but maybe call Mazda North America?

 

the warranty is for the original just as with any warranty. so for 8 years or 100k they will replace the core as many times as need to keep the CAR( which the warranty applies towards) running . if you get a replacement at 99,999.9 and 365.9 days the warranty expires after that last .1

However there is an installation warranty on the "new" parts which should be 1 year/12k

 

Thanks. Just wanted to see what the board thought. In my experience what the dealership says and what is true is sometimes two different things. If it wasn't for information on this board I would of missed out on a lot of opportunities that Mazda and mostly my dealerships would of snuck by me.
